Nikons First Action Cam: Key Mission 360

We know how far action cam business came since the beginning of 2000’s.

I always asked my self “how far would they go after GoPro Hero4′s 4K resolution technology?” in 2015.

Yesterday night, I was checking out the scuba diving industry news on the Internet.

Guess what?

I saw one of my friends sharing an action cam produced by Nikon. It was not our for sale yet, but my question I was asking to myself in 2015 was answered by this single share and blew my mind.

Nikon’s Very First Action Cam

We met with the term “action cam” with GoPro.

Then we saw Sony was trying to do its best for this sector.

Then who?

Liquid Image?

Yes. And several more.

I think Nikon didn’t want to miss the chance of getting a piece of this huge and growing “action cam industry cake.

And actually, what they brought us seems to be pretty cool and revolutionary.

Key Mission 360

I got two messages from the name.

  1. Nikon will invest in action cam business in 2016, since they see this as a key mission for this year.
  2. This cam captures 360° videos!

Sounds crazy, doesn’t it?

Well, I don’t have a Nikon Key Mission 360 (Nikon didn’t send yet, hope they will) for now to review it in every detail like I always do here in

But still, I’ll try to inform you about Key Mission 360 as much as possible to give you guys at least an idea about this action cam.

When I own one Key Mission 360, I’ll try it and write a helpful review ASAP.

Features of Key Mission 360

You have already heard it, right? This baby can capture 360° videos. I have told you this couple of minutes ago.

But what you don’t know is that Key Mission 360 does this in 4K resolution!

Capturing 360° videos in 4K ?!?! We will have fun soon…

There are two lenses on the either side of Key Mission 360 to be able to do this.

It is shockproof up to 6.6 feet (2 meters) and waterproof (most important part for us: scuba divers) up to  100 feet (30 meters).

It can fit to your hand palm. Small, isn’t it?

Key Mission 360 is almost the same with GoPro Hero4 Session (in terms of size) but Key Mission 360 has two big lenses unlike Session for 360° capture feature.

It is told that Key Mission 360 has an outstanding audio system that will shock every one of us and beat the whole action cams on the field. Well, we’ll see.

Built-in electronic shock reduction will help us during our captures.

Other built-in features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC so you can connect your Key Mission 360 to a smart device near you.

For now, all I know is this.

In spring, we are going to be able to purchase our own Key Mission 360s.

And after a very short time I own mine, I’ll be talking about this brand-new action cam in a much more detailed way so you can take a look at and ask your questions before making a purchase.

So don’t forget to bookmark

See you soon.
